Delta College Joins Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count

Delta College was awarded a 2010 Kresge Foundation Fellowship Award. Second Nature, with funding from The Kresge Foundation, has presented these fellowship awards to 25 higher education institutions out of 60 applicant institutions.

Beginning Friday, May 21, Delta College will be closed on Fridays through July 30, and will extend hours Monday through Thursday to better serve students and visitors.

Delta College’s colors have always been green, and believe it or not, another shade of green. But the green in Delta’s logo is now less a symbol and more a philosophy at the 640-acre community college that recently underwent a transformation to its outdoor campus.

Delta College was recently informed of a sizeable financial contribution to be made in support of its training programs. Delta’s President, Dr. Jean Goodnow, learned that the College would be receiving a check for $757,619 from the Harvey Randall Wickes Foundation in Saginaw.

Flu shots (for the seasonal flu, not H1N1) will be available at Delta College on Monday, October 26 from 7:30 to 10:00 am and again from 2:00 to 3:30 pm for students, faculty and staff. Covenant staff will be located in the small lounge area of the West main hallway, near the steps just opposite the E wing main hallway entrance. The cost will be $23 (cash or personal check only). Adult dosage only will be available.
