The Delta College President’s Speaker Series is bringing Economist Charles Wheelan to campus on October 7. He will speak on Michigan’s Economic Crisis:  Making our Great Lakes State “Great” Again.

Offering economic insights with humor and style, Wheelan will discuss the future of Michigan and what is needed in private and public sector policies to make Michigan thrive. Wheelan, a former Midwest correspondent for The Economist, contributes regularly to National Public Radio, is the author of Yahoo’s popular “Naked Economics” column, and is a public policy lecturer at the University of Chicago.

The event begins at 10 a.m., and is free and open to the public. It is being held in Delta College’s Lecture Theater.
